THREE TOP FINISHING POSITION SELECTIONS

A T3 last week in North Carolina for Tyrrell Hatton scored us a +750 winner and the Englishman will be looking to carry that form to Texas for this week’s AT&T Byron Nelson. Whilst many big names are taking the week off ahead of the PGA Championship, Hatton (+1300) still faces fierce competition from an impressive set of past major winners, including Scottie Scheffler (+350), Jason Day (+1700), Hideki Matsuyama (+2400) and Adam Scott (+3600).

Scheffler opted not to play last week’s designated event and so arrives at TPC Craig Ranch looking to flex his muscle ahead of the next major. At +350 it’s difficult to bet on the world number two, however if you look beyond that aforementioned list of major winners, there’s plenty of value to be found across the top finishing position markets from a number of interesting outsiders.

TOP 5 FINISHING POSITION: BRANDON WU (+1000, FanDuel)

Wu was last seen finishing third behind Rahm and Finau in Mexico, a very impressive performance, and in the week previous he was the better of his pairs team in a good Zurich Classic display. The American is showing the sort of form that rewarded him with a T2 at the AT&T Pebble Beach earlier this season and a similar low scoring effort is expected.

Only T51 here last year, but two 66s carded back-to-back highlighted his ability on the course. Coupled with the recent consistency he should be fighting at the top end of the leaderboard.

TOP 5 FINISHING POSITION: CHRISTIAN BEZUIDENHOUT (+1100, FanDuel)

Bezuidenhout has been quietly going about some good performances over his last three tournaments, resulting in; T13 in the PLAYERS, T28 in the Texas Open, and T19 in the RBC Heritage. He now returns to a tournament he finished T12 in last year on debut. Three -5 or better rounds let down only by a -2 on day two.

This course is setup for good iron players to make a lot of birdies and the South African has made remarkable progress in this department over the past few weeks to sit third in the Shot Gained: Approach category for the period.

TOP 5 FINISHING POSITION: JUSTIN SUH (+1300, FanDuel)

Justin Suh hasn’t missed a cut since early October. Over the 15 tournaments since he’s achieved a T5 best with the majority of results in the comfortable, yet unremarkable, 20-50 places. It’s difficult to doubt the American’s potential however and he will go very close, or even claim a title, on a week just like this when a good number of the top players are taking a break.

All odds listed from FanDuel, as of Tuesday May 9.
