The Masters comedown is short lived for golf fans with another PGA TOUR Signature Event on the horizon. The RBC Heritage presents the 69 players with a very different proposition to last week’s fight for a green jacket.

Harbour Town Golf Links is exactly that, a links style course, and the condensed field will play all four-rounds. Scheffler is naturally a very short favorite again (+400) but his full attendance is in the hands of his unborn child and he may well still be on a Masters comedown.

The field is stacked due to the nature of the event, and there are some excellent links players in the +1000 to +1800 bracket. We expect the winner to come out of this pack. We’re taking three who suit the course at slightly shorter odds though to grab themselves a high position.

TOP 5 FINISH: BRIAN HARMAN (+1000, DraftKings)

Form figures of T28-T13-T35-T7 in his last four here and it’s no surprise that the Champion Golfer of the Year generally performs well at Harbour Town Golf Links.

Harman’s performance at the Open is probably the best links course performance of the last 12 months, confidence will be high for a while when Harman turns up on a links. It’s amazing that the odds indicate 16 others to win ahead of him on such a course. If it prevails, weekend rain may also aid his challenge.

Draw a line through the Masters performance. He certainly won’t be dwelling on it, neither should we. The American missed the cut last season before finishing T7 in South Carolina. Like last season, expect him to consistently plot his way around and stay within touching distance of the leaders.

TOP 5 FINISH: SHANE LOWRY (+800, DraftKings)

Statistically, this challenge looks perfect for the way Lowry is playing this season. Number one in fairways hit on tour, more of the same will have Lowry in perfect positions on this shorter but accuracy demanding course.

This isn’t purely a statical play however, Lowry hasn’t missed a cut in his last seven events, which include a solo 3rd and T4, whilst playing on a links style course will always give the Irishman a competitive edge thanks to the background. He is no stranger to the gales off the Atlantic, the more the wind blows the better his chances get.

A pair of T3 finishes and a T9 in his last five here show that he’s got the course form to contend.

TOP 10 FINISH: TAYLOR MOORE (+500, DraftKings)

Moore arrives in South Carolina full of confidence, coming off his best three results of the season in his last three starts.

He’s playing very well and is going a little under the radar. His Valspar into Masters schedule last season yielded a 1-T39 before going on to register a T11 at Harbour Town, followed by a T4 at the Zurich Classic. This period of the season is clearly enjoyed by the American.

Well in contention last season before carding a -1 in the final round, Moore knows he has a handle on the course. On the links of Pebble Beach he’s logged a T15 and T16 in the last three years. A more modest T47 there this year but not during a fantastic spell for the American.

16th on tour for Greens In Regulation stacks up nicely for this week.

All odds listed from DraftKings, as of Wednesday April 16.
