We are a few months into the MLS season now so we are going to take a look at the MLS season markets.
MLS Winner
Los aNGELES FC (+500)
Los Angeles FC currently find themselves at the top of the Western Conference after 15 games played.
The Black and Gold have come out on top on nine occasions, while losing just three times and look a much better side than last campaign.
Carlos Vela is still finding the net for LAFC, notching six goals so far and it doesn’t look like he’s going to slow down anytime soon.
They have been on a four game unbeaten run twice already this season, showing they are capable of putting runs together, something champions need to do.
new york city (+700)
Heading to the opposite side of the country now, we’ve got New York City who are themselves performing well this campaign.
Topping the Eastern Conference League on 27 points, despite playing two games fewer than New York Red Bulls in second place.
Whilst New York City have performed well against teams in the Eastern Conference, they’ve struggled against sides in the other league.
Having lost against Minnesota, whilst drawing against FC Dallas and Portland Timbers, it might be difficult for them to come out on as MLS Champions because of this.
Philadelphia Union (+900)
Sticking with the Eastern Conference, Philadelphia Union are just one point behind New York City, however, they have played one game more.
The U’s have lost just one game so far this campaign, however, they have been involved in eight draws.
If they can start turning those draws into wins, then they will certainly be looking a good shout for MLS Champions.
Seattle Sounders (+1200)
Seattle Sounders are currently at +1200 and there’s a reason for that as last season’s second-place side in the Eastern Conference are currently sitting seventh.
They are currently sitting 10 points behind LAFC, however, they’ve played two fewer games than some teams above them.
If they can recover some of their form from last season then there’s still an outside chance they can force themselves into the question.
MLS Top Scorer
Jesus Ferreira (+600)
Jesus Ferreira is currently the joint-MLS top goalscorer with nine goals, helping FC Dallas remain in with a shout to finish top of the Western Conference.
He’s currently outscoring his expected goals, with 7xG so far this season, but if he can keep that up then there’s no reason why he won’t finish the season as top goalscorer.
Sebastian Driuissi (+700)
Sebastian Driuissi is on eight goals, so it’s not him that has matched Ferreira’s goal tally for the season so far.
His Austin side are currently sitting in third place and are the second-highest scorers in the league, which is only a good thing for Driuissi.
Jeremey Ebobisse (+800)
Jeremey Ebobisse is the man who is also on nine goals for the season, however, it will be a surprise if he keeps that tally up.
San Jose Earthquakes are currently sitting at the very bottom of the Western Conference, so if his side continue to struggle, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see his goals dry up.
Javier Hernandez (+900)
Finally, we have LA Galaxy’s Javier Hernandez, who is currently sitting three goals behind the top scorers on six.
The former Manchester United forward is currently underperforming when it comes to xG, so if he can start taking his chances more regularly, which you’d expect him to, he’ll start flying up the goalscoring charts.
