NBA Playoffs Conference Semi-Finals Best Bets Friday 5th May

NBA | Best Bets for Friday’s and Saturday’s Conference Finals games

Having a bet on this weekend’s NBA action? We have two SGPs that could be worth backing

The NBA Conference Finals are in full swing, with the Celtics hosting the Heat in Game 2 of the Eastern Finals, while the Nuggets head to the Lakers for Game 3 of the Western Finals on Saturday.

After scouring through the markets, we have devised two bets for the upcoming NBA matchups across the next two days.

Here are the best bets for the next round of NBA Conference Finals games.

MIA HEAT @ BOS CELTICS (Friday, 8:30pm ET)

After slipping to a surprise defeat in Game 1, Boston find themselves behind to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Finals.

The Celtics will not be as easily to bowl over this time, with a win needed to keep their NBA Finals hopes alive before hitting the road.

Expect Boston to be ruthless here, and their nine-point spread looks easily achievable if they are at their best.

Combine that with Marcus Smart’s three-pointer line. The Celtics guard has averaged five attempts from downtown per game in his last 10 outings.

With two threes made last time out, Smart could easily match that total once again here in a must-win game for Boston.

TIP: Boston Celtics -9 + Marcus Smart 2+ Made Threes (+165, FanDuel)

DENVER NUGGETS @ LA LAKERS (Saturday, 8:30pm ET)

After losing the first two games of the series, the LA Lakers need to make use of their home advantage in Game 3 against the Nuggets.

Los Angeles kept things tight in Game 2, but it wasn’t enough as they slipped to a five-point defeat in Denver.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Nuggets take their foot off the gas a little bit, particularly as they do now have some breathing room in the series.

The Lakers need a win here, and they could well get that while covering the spread in the process.

Lebron James’ scoring as of late has been a concern, so we’re happy to take a chance on his rebound lines in this matchup.

The future NBA Hall of Famer has averaged nine rebounds per game in his last 10 home starts, and with 21 rebounds recorded in the first two games of the series, he could drum up another high number here.

Eight rebounds seems a fairly reasonable target, and it gives a decent odds return when combined with the Lakers’ spread.

TIP: LA Lakers -5 + Lebron James 8+ Rebounds (+163, FanDuel)
