Our resident tipster has two top tips for this weekend’s college football action

We’re back with another round of tips from the College Football sphere, as Week 2 of the NCAAF season gets underway this weekend.

Our in-house tipster had a solid weekend last time out, picking out the Duke spread line against Clemson as well as landing a longshot involving the Texas State Bobcats.

We have two more selections for this weekend’s action, involving the likes of the Utah Utes and the Texas A&M Aggies.

Here are the best bets for Week 2 of the 2023 NCAAF season.

UTES UP FOR IT

After breezing past Florida with a 24-11 win in Week 1, Utah looks up for the challenge this season.

The Utes take on Baylor in Week 2, who imploded against Texas State last Saturday – slumping to a 42-31 defeat at home.

The Bears also lost starting quarterback Blake Shapen in that defeat after suffering an MCL injury, meaning backup Sawyer Robinson will be taking over this weekend. Baylor also lost a key part of their defense, with starting safety Devin Lemear dislocating his shoulder last weekend.

That should make this a simpler task for the Utes, who have serious aspirations of winning the Pac-12 Conference and maybe even claiming a College Football Playoff berth.

Utah’s spread as seven-and-a-half favourites looks generous in the current situation, so they should be able to beat their line here.

TIP: Utah -7.5 (-115, FanDuel)

ALL ACTION AGGIES

It’s time for Jimbo Fisher to deliver on those hefty expectations at Texas A&M.

While the Aggies had a hit-and-miss season last year, new offensive co-ordinator Bobby Petrino seems to have brought life back into the attack – after scoring 52 points against New Mexico last week.

The Hurricanes are a much tougher task however, and they have recruited well during the offseason. Despite that, there is a lot of pressure on this program currently and if Miami do not hit the ground running, it could spell trouble for Mario Cristobal.

The Aggies offense should be up for the task once again here, and their current spread as four-and-half point favourites looks achievable.

TIP: Texas A&M -4.5 (-105, FanDuel)
