Only two weeks of the NCAAF regular season remain, with several schools still in contention for a CFP spot.
We have two picks with big prices for this weekend’s schedule, focusing on the Oregon Ducks and the Houston Cougars.
Here are the best longshot bets for Week 12 of the NCAAF regular season.
DUCKS’ DEMOLITION DERBY
After containing an elite USC offense last weekend, the Oregon Ducks are in touching distance of a CFP spot – currently sitting sixth in the rankings.
Their attempts to break into the top four rankings continue this week, as they face a 3-7 Arizona State team that have thrown a few punches throughout the campaign.
They did keep it close against #5 Washington as they fell to a 15-7 loss, but they were blown out by #16 Utah a couple weeks back – losing 55-7.
With star QB Bo Nix wanting to continue his Heisman campaign, it would not be a surprise to see this Oregon offense fire on all cylinders this week.
While the Sun Devils have been fairly respectable in defense, their offense has failed to get going at times this year. They likely will fall flat against a solid Ducks defense here.
Oregon could completely run away with it here. With three wins of 41+ points this campaign already, there is a chance they could make it four in this matchup.

WE HAVE A PROBLEM, HOUSTON
Despite their inconsistent 4-6 record, the Houston Cougars could have a trick or two up their sleeve this week when they take on Oklahoma State.
The Cowboys have been left in complete disarray, with the school falling eight spots in the CFP rankings following their crushing 45-3 defeat to UCF last weekend.
That defeat could have some repercussions, especially with quarterback Alan Bowman throwing three interceptions and Ollie Gordon managing only 25 rushing yards.
The Cougars did push Texas all the way in Week 8, and they did leave it late into overtime to get the better of Baylor on the road in Week 10.
The last three matchups between Oklahoma State and Houston have seen 59 or more points, so there’s a potential for a proper shootout between these sides.
