With only two and a half months remaining in the offseason, the start of the 2022 NFL season is rapidly approaching.

To keep our excitement at UltimateFan HQ at bay, the team have been discussing potential candidates for the regular-season MVP award.

The squad have selected two top-draw QBs that could put up some big numbers across the season as well as a returning RB that has some unfinished business.

Here are their selections for the 2022 NFL MVP award.

BEST SELECTION – Josh Allen (+700 with Caesars Sportsbook)

Considered to be arguably the best dual-threat QB in the league currently, it could be the year that Josh Allen guides the Bills to their first Super Bowl in almost three decades.

Josh Allen NFL Bills

The former Wyoming star has been electric for the Buffalo-based franchise over the last two seasons, recording at least 4,000 passing yards and 35 passing TDs in both seasons as well as surpassing 400+ rushing yards and six rushing TDs.

While these are not MVP numbers currently, Allen has been on an upwards curve and with a few new weapons in the offense, he could reach new heights this term with the AFC East franchise.

With the Bills boasting talent across the board, Allen could well show further improvement and become an elite QB in the NFL this year.

NEXT BEST – Justin Herbert (+1200 with Caesars Sportsbook)

Talking of elite QBs, Justin Herbert could break even more records in his third season with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Justin Herbert NFL Chargers

The 2020 first-round draft pick has revitalised the franchise with the 6ft6ins star tearing up the league, becoming the QB with the most passing yards and passing TDs across their first two seasons in the NFL.

While he is yet to play in a postseason game, the Oregon graduate is clearly one of the more exciting prospects in the league and he could well hit new heights in 2022

The AFC West is a seriously tough division and if he can find a way of taking the Chargers to the division title, he could well be in the chance of landing MVP honors.

VALUE PICK – Derrick Henry (+5000 with Caesars Sportsbook)

Let’s be honest, if Derrick Henry did not break a bone in his foot halfway through the 2021 season, he was the undisputed regular-season MVP.

Derrick Henry NFL Titans

The Titans running back was putting up a record season, recording 937 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in only eight starts. He finished in the top 10 in the NFL in rushing yards, carries and rushing TDs despite missing the final nine games of the season.

Nicknamed ‘King Henry’ thanks to his imposing rushing style and larger stature, the Alabama graduate is a ‘bell cow’ back for Tennessee and his larger workload could see him drum up similar numbers this term if he is back to his best.

His +5000 price tag seems a little absurd and points at huge value if he is fully back to form following his injury.
