After naming yesterday’s AFC Division Winners yesterday, our resident tipster has two other selections from the AFC for the 2023 NFL season

The 2023 NFL season is edging closer, with today marking four weeks until the greatest football competition on earth returns.

Our resident tipster has taken a look through the remaining markets for the AFC, naming two selections that could be worth backing ahead of the new campaign.

Here are the two ‘other’ AFC Futures bets for the 2023 NFL season.

2023 could well be the year of the Tiger.

The Cincinnati Bengals have developed into a force to be reckoned with in recent seasons, with the talents of Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase leading the AFC North side to new heights.

The Ohio-based franchise have impressed plenty of pundits in the last two years and they continue to get stronger year-by-year, with the eye-catching addition of Super Bowl-winning tackle Orlando Brown Jr. bolstering their already-growing roster.

While the AFC is a hotly-contest conference with the likes of the Chiefs and Bills aiming for the top seed, there could be solid belief in the Bengals doing so this year.

Their first six games are fairly comfortable, so it would not be a shock to see Cincinnati stake an early claim for the #1 seed. If they could overcome the Chiefs and the Bills in the second half of the season, the Bengals taking top seed could well be a real possibility.

TIP: Cincinnati Bengals to be #1 AFC Seed (+550, FanDuel)

While this could well be considered a rebuilding year for Indianapolis, they could well pull off a surprise with some new faces in town.

First round QB Anthony Richardson could well be the real deal for the Colts. His level of athleticism is to be admired and with the right level of coaching, he could become a double-headed monster in the AFC.

Jonathan Taylor needs to bounce back after a wobbly year, and if he can get anywhere near to the level of his 2022 season, he could well play a part in helping Indianapolis reach the postseason for only the third time in nine seasons.

The AFC South is a wide-open division, and while the Jags have quickly flipped the standings in the last year, I reckon there could be another surprise in this four-team contest.

The Titans are wobbly, and the Texans do not look at the level to be competitive currently – so with a strong start, the Colts could at least clinch a wildcard spot.

TIP: Indianapolis Colts to make the Playoffs (+350, FanDuel)
