Our Super Bowl preview series concludes with two top picks for Sunday’s game

Super Bowl weekend is officially here, with just two days to go until the Chiefs and 49ers face off in Las Vegas.

Our football expert has highlighted plenty of markets in the last week or so, but he has saved the best until last – naming his two top picks for this weekend’s big game.

Here are the Best Bets for this weekend’s Super Bowl.

CARRY ON WAYWARD CHIEF

Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see San Fran lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy on Sunday.

However, everything points in favour of the Chiefs. The AFC West franchise has been superb in the home stretch, beating several respectable opponents with ease. Patrick Mahomes seems to have found his rhythm, while the KC defense has stepped up big time lately.

The 49ers have effectively stumbled their way to this year’s NFL Championship game, making hard work of two rivals that realistically they should be cruising past. They may have had enough in the tank to get the win, but it does take some luck to keep coming back late.

The Chiefs defense will likely prove to be a problem for Brock Purdy, and he could be overwhelmed by the occasion here.

Take Mahomes & co. to win back-to-back Super Bowls this weekend.

TIP: KC Chiefs ML (+110, FanDuel)

RICE RICE BABY

In terms of the Chiefs receiving options, all eyes will be on star tight end Travis Kelce on Sunday.

But in all the hype, there seems to be a forgotten receiver in KC. That is rookie wideout Rashee Rice.

The SMU graduate is second in receiving yards, receptions and targets across the Chiefs offense this season, and he has record 100+ receiving yards in two of his last four starts.

A century of receiving yards looks a possible target if Rice is not given the same level of attention as Travis Kelce by the 49ers defense – who have given up six 100+ yard games to wideouts this campaign.

While it is not a suggested bet, it could be worth placing a little stake on Rice in the MVP department as well at +5000 – just in case he does surpass 100+ yards and runs into the endzone on a couple of occasions.

TIP: Rashee Rice 100+ Receiving Yards (+280, FanDuel)
