The Premier League returns! The UF team kick off this week’s tips and tricks with four selections in the latest Non-Gold Gems feature
After a short hiatus due to the international break, the Premier League returns with a busy schedule in Gameweek 13.
The UF team have been busy preparing for the latest contest, picking out four cards to feature in this week’s Non-Gold Gems article.
The latest batch of selections come from the likes of Nottingham Forest and West Ham, with the group of cards all holding some potential of picking up some points.
Here are this week’s Non-Gold Gems.
DEFENDER
Vladimir Coufal – West Ham (v Burnley – A)
Following his dramatic expulsion from the Czech Republic squad, Vladimir Coufal could bounce back for West Ham this week.
The Hammers full-back has been an undetected threat in UltimateFan this season, claiming 50 UF points to date – thanks to his 30 tackles, four assists and sole clean sheet.
Despite their lack of results, Burnley have gone all-out attack at times under Vincent Kompany, and they have shown a preference of attacking down the left wing.
The Clarets have also struggled to deal with attacks down the wings, which will benefit Coufal here – especially as he likes to put a cross in.
Coufal could continue to pick up the tackle points here, and drum up a healthy score across several categories in this contest.

MIDFIELDER
Nicolas Dominguez – Nottingham Forest (v Brighton – H)
With 40 UF points to his name this season, Nottingham Forest midfielder Nicolas Dominguez could hold some value in this week’s contest.
Brighton like to drive their attacks down the middle of the field, which gives Dominguez plenty of chances to pick up some tackle points here.
With the unforgiving schedule Brighton currently face with their European tour, they could take their foot off the gas a bit while they prepare for their away trip to AEK Athens next week.
That gives some of the Forest assets the potential to drum up a nice score here – making Dominguez an interesting option in midfield this week.
FORWARD
Cameron Archer – Sheffield United (v Bournemouth – H)
With four points picked up in their last two Premier League outings, Sheffield United could be of some interest when they host Bournemouth.
Both teams have had their struggles defensively, which could mean the attacking assets in this matchup may be worth focusing on.
We like the look of Blades striker Cameron Archer, who has 24 UF points to his name this season – after scoring twice, registering four shots on target and putting in four tackles.
The former Villa recruit has scored against the Cherries in the past, scoring at Deepdale whilst on loan at Preston last year.
Bournemouth only managed to keep their first clean sheet of the season last time out against a depleted Newcastle side, so they’re still at risk of conceding goals.
That means Archer could be a potential threat to the Cherries this weekend, and he could find the net for the third time this season.

TEAM
Everton (v Man Utd – H)
Following their (frankly ridiculous) points deduction for breaching FFP, Everton find themselves in the relegation zone after having ten points taken off their total.
The Toffees will need to fight for every inch of ground going forward, and they likely will come straight out of the blocks to try and claw back those 10 points as quickly as possible.
They have a chance to get a win almost immediately – as they face a Manchester United side that have been far from consistent in recent weeks.
The Red Devils managed to conjure up late goals to beat Luton and Fulham before the international break, but they have suffered defeats to Man City, Newcastle and Copenhagen in the Premier League, League Cup and the Champions League in the last month.
Sean Dyche will get his side raring to go here – and they could be an outside option to pick up a decent score in Gameweek 13.
