UF Non-Gold Gems Gameweek 27 Premier League UltimateFan

The UF Team reveal their best non-gold selections for the upcoming Premier League contest

At UltimateFan HQ, it is a busy time for the crew with plenty of gameweeks coming up on the schedule.

With UCL R16 3 now officially underway, the UF Team have already began their preparation for GW27, naming their best silver and base picks ahead of the weekend.

Here are the Non-Gold Gems for Gameweek 27.

DEFENDER

EMERSON ROYAL – Tottenham (v Nottingham Forest – H)

A full back to converted right midfielder, Emerson Royal has been hauling in the points as of late for Tottenham.

The Brazilian recruit is only one of three defender cards to have scored over 100 points this season, with only Trent Alexander-Arnold claiming more points than him.

Royal could prove to be useful against a Nottingham Forest side that have not been strong on their travels in the league this season.

Forest could struggle to contain the likes of Royal in this fixture, and he could well pick up a decent total here.

MIDFIELDER

KAORU MITOMA – Brighton (v Leeds – A)

After scoring five league games in his last eight starts, Mitoma could well prove to be a solid selection this weekend.

The Japanese winger has been a standout in UltimateFan since arriving in Series 2, scoring 61 points to date.

Mitoma found the net against West Ham last weekend and he could prove to be a handful for Leeds this time around, who have struggled defensive at times this year.

The Yorkshire side have only managed to keep three clean sheets in 13 games against the top 10 sides in the Premier League this season, so it looks a great opportunity for Mitoma to get on the scoresheet.

FORWARD

KELECHI IHEANACHO – Leicester (v Chelsea – H)

While Leicester have been struggling to hit a run of form, Kelechi Iheanacho has proven to be a solid acquisition for UF players in recent months.

Iheanacho was the busiest in terms of attack for Leicester last weekend, as he took five of the Foxes’ seven shots in their 1-0 loss to Southampton.

The former Man City forward will likely be busy again here, and he could well return to scoring ways against a Chelsea side that have been less than convincing on their travels as of late.

This is a gamble, but Chelsea’s tight success over Leeds was not a sign of the London side returning to form, so it might not be the biggest of shocks to see Leicester at least break the deadlock here.

TEAM

WEST HAM (v Aston Villa – H)

After being dismantled by Brighton last weekend, West Ham are aiming to get back to winning ways when they host Aston Villa at the London Stadium on Sunday.

West Ham have only lost once to Villa in their last 13 meetings, while their last home defeat to the Villains came almost 12 years ago.

Their recent form would suggest the Hammers would struggle here, but they did Nottingham Forest emphatically at home and they could see off an inconsistent Aston Villa side here.
