The UF Team hands out their mid-season UF awards for the first half of the season
The Premier League is officially on hiatus, which means there are no UltimateFan contests for the next six weeks.
With the season nearly hitting the halfway mark, the UF Team have decided to run the 2022/23 Mid-Season Awards a little earlier than normal.
From the MVP winner to the Most Improved award, the UF squad has picked out several cards that have put in a shift in UltimateFan this season.
Here are your 2022/23 Mid-Season UF Award winners.
UltimateFan’s Mid-Season MVP – Erling Haaland (Man City)
What a way to start life at Manchester City.
Erling Haaland has virtually been untouchable in UF since Day 1 of the 2022/23 season, as the former Dortmund star has rocketed clear at the top of the leaderboard.
The Norwegian striker has picked up 246 points across the PL and UCL contests, with his closest rival sitting 70 points below him (Mo Salah with 176pts)
It will not be a surprise in the slightest to see Haaland win the seasonal MVP award in May if he continues his strong run of form.
UltimateFan’s Best Performing Silver Player – Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham)
Mitrovic has proven to be a popular selection in UF since Fulham’s return to the Premier League – with the Serbian striker chalking up the points for users.
The former Newcastle recruit has picked up 110 points so far this season, thanks to his nine goals, 22 shots on target and three tackles.
Mitrovic is averaging a better goal per game ratio than Mo Salah, Callum Willson and Roberto Firmino, so he’s definitely a player to keep an eye on!

UltimateFan’s Best Performing Base Player – Pascal Groß (Brighton)
A surprise winner in this category, Groß’s strong start for Brighton has seen him become a valuable asset on the UF marketplace.
The Brighton midfielder has picked up 75 points so far this year, and he is the only base card to have scored more than 65 points to date in 2022/23.
Groß already has two TOTW appearances to his name this year, so he could well be one to watch for the rest of the season.
UltimateFan’s Most Improved – Miguel Almiron (Newcastle)
Almiron has silenced his critics this year, as the Newcastle midfielder has launched up the points standings in the last few months.
The Paraguayan international only managed to pick up 53 points last season, but he has smashed that total already as he has claimed 98 points to date this year.
He is only one of two non-gold player cards to score more than 95 points this season, so Almiron is a deserved recipient of this award.
UltimateFan’s Tackle King – Joao Palhinha (Fulham)
A player that has flown massively under the radar this year, Joao Palhinha has proven to be a consistent points scorer in UltimateFan this season – in the tackles department.
The Portuguese international has been phenomenal for Fulham this year, with 39 of his 63 points coming from tackles.
Palhinha has proven to be reliable, and he could be a solid asset to have in your line-up from GW17 onwards.

UltimateFan’s UCL Star – Kylian Mbappe (PSG)
With only six UCL gameweeks under his belt, Kylian Mbappe has been active in UlimateFan this season.
The French superstar has scored 87 points in the UCL contests, making two Team of the Week appearances in the process.
While only a handful of players have him in their squad, Mbappe is proving to be a cheat code for the few that have him in the UCL contests.
UltimateFan’s Best Performing TEAM Card – Man City
It comes as no shock the winner of this award, as Man City’s TEAM card sits almost 20 points clear of their nearest rivals.
The Citizens have claimed 172 points across the PL + UCL tournaments so far, with Liverpool sitting a close second with 153 points and Spurs coming third with 152 points.
UltimateFan’s Best Performing Non-Gold Team Card – Newcastle
A popular TEAM card choice due to their rating, Newcastle has been solid in terms of points scoring this season.
The Magpies have picked up 122 points to date, almost 30 points more than the next non-gold team card.
