Looking for some value for the UFC’s stacked card in Abu Dhabi? We’ve got you covered

The UFC marks its annual trip to the United Arab Emirates this weekend, with a remarkably stacked card for fans to look forward to.

In our newest betting feature, the team have dived in the UFC 294 card – picking out three bets that they like the look of.

Here are the best bets for this weekend’s UFC action in Abu Dhabi.

Stepping in with nine days’ notice, Kamara Usman takes his first bout at middleweight since losing his rematch with Leon Edwards back in UFC 286.

There are concerns around the fitness of the former UFC welterweight champion, and that’s not a great sign when he is facing the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev in the co-main event.

Usman is coming towards the end of his fighting career, and at the age of 36, his body is beginning to decline with the level of punishment and injury he has been subjected to throughout his career.

Add in the fact that Chimaev has had a full camp to prepare for this fight, and it looks an uphill battle from the start.

While going the full distance will be a respectable performance from Usman, we just can’t see that happening with limited preparation.

A submission win for Borz looks off the cards as well, as Usman has not been on the losing side of that winning method in over a decade.

That leaves the knockout for Chimaev, which looks possible here reviewing the situation and holds some value as well.

TIP: Khamzat Chimaev by KO/TKO/DQ (+220, FanDuel)

With three straight wins under his belt, Johnny Walker has risen up quickly through the light heavyweight ranks.

The 6ft5 Brazilian could get a title shot – if he manages to overcome Magomed Ankalaev this weekend.

Walker has nothing to lose here, and with the level of disappointment he has experienced in the past, he could be in the right mindset to win this fight.

The UFC veteran has suffered with fitness issues previous, but he looks past that – and he could spring a surprise here.

His extended reach and power over his opponent look to put him in chance of a knockout win, but there’s enough value to back Walker on the moneyline alone – just in case he claims a surprise win by submission, or even by points.

TIP: Johnny Walker Moneyline (+280, FanDuel)

Despite stepping in with less than 12 days’ notice, Alexander Volkanovski has jumped into the co-main event to set up a spicy rematch with Islam Makhachev.

There is always doubt when a fighter fills in late and normally it’s easy to side with the more prepared individual.

However, that is not the case with Volkanovski – as he has the ability to produce near-miracles in the cage.

We would not put anyone off not putting a bet on this matchup – as there are several unknowns, especially with the lateness of Volkanovski taking the fight.

But the Australian has nothing to lose here, and he could mark his legacy as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the history of the UFC if he gets the win here.

A submission win will never happen, and a knockout looks unlikely. Expect Volkanovski to take his time here and wear down Makhachev – which makes his winning method of points market potentially valuable.

TIP: Alexander Volkanovski Points (+480, FanDuel)
