πŸ’ͺ Palhinha tops the tackle charts!

The 2023/24 Premier League season may have ended, but there’s plenty of UltimateFan content still to come!

In our first review of the past season’s scoring charts, we have dived into the tackles chart – naming the top three scoring players in that respective category.

Sitting at number one comes as no shock – as UltimateFan had identified him as a hidden gem in scoring earlier on in the campaign.

That is Fulham’s Joao Palhinha, who scored a whopping 156 points in tackles during the 2023/24 campaign. He averaged an incredible 4.72 tackle points per game played!

Second place went to an underused asset in the UF Community, in the form of Sheffield United’s Vinicius Souza.

The Blades midfielder was on Palhinha’s heels for most of the season before a late drop off – but he still managed to claim 130 UF points in tackles.

And in third place was one of the best performing base cards in this year’s game – Joao Gomes of Wolves.

He saw 79.4% of his total seasonal score come in the tackles category – as he landed 124 UF points thanks to his ball-winning ability.

⭐️ Crystal Palace star in the Gameweek 38 Team of the Week line-up!

Thanks to their 5-0 thrashing of Champions League-bound Aston Villa, several Crystal Palace assets have forced their way into the Gameweek 38 UF Team of the Week.

The Eagles TEAM card finished top of its respective category, after scoring 15 points in total at Selhurst.

Jean-Philippe Mateta topped the player standings for the second time in five gameweeks, after scoring a hat-trick on his way to a total of 29 points.

Teammate Eberechi Eze was not far away either, with his three goal contributions helping him to 28 points overall.

Meanwhile, two popular defensive assets claimed their spot in the Team of the Week – as Tottenham’s Pedro Porro and Manchester United’s Diego Dalot scored 15 and 14 points in the final Premier League gameweek of the season.

The second midfielder spot went to Premier League Player of the Year Phil Foden, who played a pivotal part in Man City’s win over West Ham to land their fourth league title in a row – scoring 20 points in the process.

The final card to make the cut was Dejan Kulusevski of Spurs, who scored twice against Sheffield United to record a return of 20 points.

πŸ‘‘ Man of the Moment Mateta claims final PL 23/24 King of the Week award!

With nine goals across his last six Premier League games, Jean-Philippe Mateta has been in phenomenal form as of late.

The Crystal Palace striker ended the Premier League campaign on a high note, after producing a King of the Week winning performance against Aston Villa.

The French attacker played a part in four of Crystal Palace’s five goals against the West Midlands side, scoring a hat-trick and registering an assist at Selhurst Park.

That helped him pick up a total of 29 UF Points, as he was only one of two cards to score 25+ points in Gameweek 38 alongside teammate Eberechi Eze (28pts).

⭐️ Dortmund lead the UCL SF 1 Team of the Week!

After recording a 1-0 win over PSG last night, it is far from a shock to see several Dortmund assets make it into the latest Team of the Week.

Dortmund’s TEAM card (12pts), Mats Hummels (8pts) and Marcel Sabitzer (7pts) all claimed their respective spots after solid performances.

Bayern Munich assets took up two places, as Harry Kane (10pts) and Noussair Mazraoui (4pts) put in shifts at the Allianz Arena.

Real Madrid fill the remaining spots, as King of the Week winner Vinicius Jr. (18pts) + Toni Kroos (8pts) played their part against Bayern.

πŸ‘‘ Vini Jr claims the crown in UCL SF 1!

There was a clear top performer in this week’s UCL contest – as Vinicius Jr. netted a brace against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

The Brazilian attacker picked up 18 points in total – after scoring twice and registering three shots on target at the Allianz Arena.

Vini Jr was an extremely rare card in this year’s UCL pack drop – meaning that he only featured in six line-up in the first Semi-Final contest.

He was captained by five of those players, which would have boosted his score to 36pts.

🌟 A mixed bag in the latest UF Team of the Week!

Gameweek 35’s Team of the Week is dominated by the gold card clan this time around – with five of the seven spots going to players coming from the top ranking category.

Man Utd’s Anthony leads the way with a 22-point return, and he takes up the forward spot, while Newcastle’s Alexander Isak fills in the FLEX position – as his brace against Sheffield United picked up 18 points on Saturday.

Arsenal assets claim both midfielder places – as Bukayo Saka (15pts) and Kai Havertz (13pts) claimed 28 points between them in the North London derby on Sunday.

Man City’s Josko Gvardiol finished top of the defender charts with a 14-point total, while Spurs’ Cristian Romero returned 13 points.

Everton took up the TEAM card spot for the second week running, with their 1-0 win over Brentford helping them to a score of 13 points.
